Dear friends and partners in ministry,
Months ago we carefully examined the resources and time required to maintain Living With Joy in its present, daily, format airing on many wonderful stations across the nation.
After a great deal of prayerful thought and counseling, we have decided to continue Living With Joy as a weekly podcast, starting in January of 2012. Unfortunately, Living With Joy will no longer be broadcast on the radio.
This shift in format allows us to dedicate our limited resources and time to our many conferences, and our Pastor’s Encouragement Retreat.
We thank all of you who have given to the ministry over the years. Our daily broadcast of Living With Joy was made possible only by your support. We hope you’ll continue to listen to our podcast.
We haven’t worked out all of the details yet. We do know that it will be broadcast as a podcast, online, and you can subscribe now for free at LivingWithJoyRadio.com.
We do hope you’ll tune in as we talk about the future of Living With Joy. Please, make sure that you subscribe to our podcast today, to continue receiving Living With Joy in 2012.
Again, visit LivingWithJoyRadio.com and click on one of the Podcast links to subscribe. It’s free! For the remainder of the year, you will receive our daily broadcasts as usual, and beginning in 2012, we’ll switch to our new weekly format.
Thank you,
- Phil Waldrep and the Living With Joy Team.

Evangelist Phil Waldrep spoke Sunday, June 26, 2011 at the Sunday morning service of the historic First Baptist Church in Dallas, Texas. Speaking from Romans 16, Waldrep shared his message, “How to Impact People: the Secret of Paul’s Ministry.”
“The privilege of preaching at First Baptist Church in Dallas is a high honor,” said Waldrep. “To know you are standing where many great preachers have stood is humbling.”
First Baptist Dallas is known as the legendary pulpit of Dr. George W. Truett and Dr. W.A. Criswell. The current pastor, Dr. Robert Jeffress, continues the tradition of strong Biblical preaching. The church gained national attention in 2010 when it secured pledges from its congregation of more than $115 million to build new facilities in downtown Dallas.
“I marveled at the exciting spirit I found at First Baptist Dallas. Under the leadership of Dr. Jeffress, I know their best days are ahead,” Waldrep said.
This was Waldrep’s sixth time to preach at FBC Dallas. Through the years of his ministry, he has spoken at a Sunday evening service and led a four day senior adult revival at the church.

Do you know the power of prayer? All too often we fall into a pattern of praying mindlessly, just repeating empty words and not really thinking about the fact that we are talking to the God of the Universe——to our Creator and Savior.
One of the most powerful examples of the power of prayer that I have ever heard is the story of Jim and Carol Cymbala and The Brooklyn Tabernacle.
This month, I want to send you a copy of Jim Cymbala’s modern-day classic Fresh Wind, Fresh Fire as an expression of our gratitude for your support of Phil Waldrep Ministries.

In the autumn of 1971, Jim and Carol Cymbala were called to The Brooklyn Tabernacle. At the time, the Tabernacle was a small congregation of less than 30 people meeting in a run-down building in the inner city. A majority of the congregation was poor, and many of them had broken families or struggled with drug or alcohol abuse.
Through the passionate, persistent prayer of that small congregation, the church is now a congregation of more than 10,000 weekly attendees with a Grammy Award winning choir, multiple outreach ministries and church plants across the “forgotten mission field” of New York City, the nation and even internationally.
Jim Cymbala’s Fresh Wind, Fresh Fire is an intimate look into the story of The Brooklyn Tabernacle – as one reviewer said, “Cymbala tells not his church’s story as much as the stories of individual souls whose saving illustrates the truth of his testimony that God responds to prayer made in repentance and faith.” This powerful book illustrates how meaningful prayer transforms individuals, revives churches, and revitalizes communities. Drawing on the teaching of scripture, his own experience and the collected wisdom of the great revivalists, Jim Cymbala seeks to fan your passion for prayer into a flame.
Fresh Wind, Fresh Fire is a powerful testament to how God loves a relationship with us where we continually seek Him in our brokenness, listen to His voice, and prayerfully depend on God in all aspects of our life.
Here at Phil Waldrep Ministries, we are committed to helping people as they seek a deeper relationship with God. Through our conferences and our Living with Joy radio broadcast, we strive to help people know God and experience His joy on a daily basis.
Your partnership enables us to continue ministering to people across the nation. Please prayerfully consider supporting us financially this month as we touch thousands of lives. As an expression of our gratitude for your gift, we will send you a copy of Jim Cymbala’s Fresh Wind, Fresh Fire to deepen your passion for prayer as you walk with God.
