Helping Our Neighbors
As many of you know, the southeastern United States was recently devastated by an outbreak of severe storms and tornadoes. Between two and three hundred people lost their lives in Alabama, alone. The destruction that you may have seen on the evening news is only a fraction of the painful horror that our neighbors have been through.
We are thankful that all of our employees and their immediate families made it through the storms safely, although all of us have friends, family, and neighbors who were affected.
Alabama’s recovery will take months, even years, to complete. After all the volunteers have gone home, there will still be great need. Our ministry is currently raising money and carefully deciding where to begin helping. Pray for us as we seek direction in deciding where our hands are needed to help clean up or fix hot meals, where our arms are needed to comfort, and where our donations will be put to best use.
And please, with all my heart I ask you to pray for Alabama.
God bless you,

Phil Waldrep

Ever since I heard you speak at New Prospect Baptist Church, Haleyville, AL, I knew you were a man with a passion, a passion for people. I(1st time attendee) along with a great group of ladies from NPBC, attended the March 18-20th Women of Joy in Pigeon Forge, TN. I again felt your “people passion” by the great evidence of that segment of your ministry.
People, souls is what our gracious heavenly Father is all about. You and the rest of the people of Phil Waldrep Ministries are great examples of Him.
I appreciate the willingness of you and yours to help aid, in some manner, the people of Alabama. We have a church family, who for the second time in less than a year have been devastated by tornadoes. First time was some damage, while the latest, a complete loss. The wife of the family attended the WOJ conference that I and the other ladies attended. She was such a blessing to have on the trip.
I will keep you in prayer as you look for the wisdom from our Mighty God, as to how you will help in this great time of need for so many of our “Sweet Home Alabama”.
